after a lengthy break mark henning returns with his new label swing and four on-point tracks. *stash house* kicks things off with a crisply produced groove with snatched male vocals and rounded bass keeping the swing high. *exit acid* ups the energy levels with an acidic tinged b-line proving a grimier feel whilst flip sides *james hughes blues* is all about the breakdown, a neat synth line and huge bass tones lending it a more anthemic edge. lastly *the horror* opts for a lower key ride, fuller male vocal imbuing the track with a sleazier feeling.

33-10-3402 is a code name for nenad markovic, an imaginative and limitless musician and producer from belgrade, serbia. this release is the second in a trilogy of opium den and whore-house inspired singles entitled mecanica. iii33 features a disorienting vocal, that repeats as if caught in a psychedelic cycle your mind cannot break, accompanied by stuttering percussive elements and metallic textures. cool down is a post-apocalyptic drum circle that keeps your groove alert as it moves between accent placement and eventually builds into a full force bad acid trip. be careful with this record.

after a twisted, introduction full of warped vocals and shifting percussion, villain builds into a track designed to kill the rave. dropping into a wall of contorted, metallic bass and vicious drums, minor rain switches things up throughout, maintaining interest - as well as that infectious groove. on the flipside, main core shifts gears with a pulsing, submerged bass driving things forward. combining elements of tribal beats, programmed drums and a stuttering rhythm, main core is a great example of future funk musics ability to put out groundbreaking, forward-thinking music.

very first release of state of grace, new berlin based label. infinite tenderness meets different moods and mental landscapes. on a1 take me down is a bare, dark and sexy 9 minutes sinking, slowly down to the loss of consciousness. on b1 right stuff enchants the dancefloor with a funky and mellow atmosphere. on b2 blue tool closes the ep, with essential jacking bass driving groove and deep melodies.

7 years after the last zhark vinyl release, heavyweight techno nihilist & labelhead kareem opens up another chapter of advanced technoid noizcore with his 11th full length ep on zhark. after a few years of silence kareem had just reemerged with releases on foundation sonore (fs 01), porto ronco on death of rave or mesmer on zhark digital but is now threatening to inspire more uncompromising percussive hostility. let this just be the beginning: whereas side a emphasis on a very distinguished dance floor groove concept of machine funk embedded in metal layers side b leaves room for a less formatted approach building up tension which is leading to a free firezone of depravity. while methodic differentiations can be discovered on each side, the listener is continously confrontated with haunting sonic extremism.
